Abstract drawing: emotion

Abstract art began at the turn of the last century, when cameras were invented and realistic image making was no longer necessary. It flourished after world war 2, when life in Europe was confronting grief and rebuilding from rubble. Abstract art is an excellent way to portray the unseen, like strong emotion.
